Auto repair services

Our master mechanics are certified to work on both domestic and imported cars and trucks.

Fixing cars is hard work. Everyone knows that, and it’s been this way for a long time.

However, there have long been many misconceptions about automotive repair services – some of which might be holding you back from getting your car fixed right away.

Here are a few things that most people don’t realize about auto repair services:

1. Auto repair shops aren’t all created equal. Some specialize in particular repairs or parts; others offer more general service at cheaper rates – but beware if they’re “too cheap.” You do get what you pay for!

2. A mechanic needs to see your vehicle before making an estimate on the cost of repairs. We can’t simply quote how much a part or repair is over the phone because your vehicle alone can tell the tale of what the problem is and what is required to fix it. All repairs require our inspection so we can both have faith in the price we quote.

3. If it seems like a lot of work, we probably need to do it. Are there potential DIY projects for your vehicle? Yes, but there are fewer and fewer of them as cars and trucks become more complicated. In many cases, more significant repairs require expensive tools and diagnostic equipment. Also, if you value your time, the math says almost always that paying us to do the work faster and professionally is the best investment you can make.

4. You don’t want your fuel system repaired with used parts. We use Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts, not bargain-basement knockoffs. Safety and quality are always first in our shop.

5. Some mechanics are in the business just to make quick cash without putting in the time and effort needed to really be good at their job. We are a repair shop, not a repair mill. We cherish our community and our customers, and we are diligent with every repair job we do.

6. A professional mechanic will never touch a part that is not clearly broken. Most automotive systems involve multiple components that are interconnected with yet other systems. We fix what needs fixing and leave the rest alone. Should other parts show signs of wear, we will advise accordingly on the time left and the cost to replace.

7. The technician can’t really know how long parts will last unless they are being used under normal conditions. We can offer you ranges for normal wear and tear, but owner behaviors, terrain, and weather conditions can add or subtract from the life of a part. So our life-expectancy estimates for parts are understandably ranges, not guarantees.

8. A good mechanic is just as concerned with your safety as you are – if not more so! This is Job #1 at Quality Auto, Truck, and Tire: Keeping you safe. We never cut corners on parts or service. We are all about safety and integrity at a fair price.
